Body Boarding
No need for lessons – just go to Polzeath and try it. Be sure to check with the lifeguards where it is safe to do it. There are boards you can borrow
in the sheds at Higher Tregawne. Kids don't seem to need wet suits but buy them online before you come - much cheaper than hiring.
Surfing
Surf's Up Surf School in Polzeath offers a range of courses to suit everyone from beginner to advanced.
They provide everything – wet suits, boards, instruction, the lot. Newquay is also famous for its surf.
Check the surf for yourself at
Ann's Cottage Surf Cams.

Enjoy a
high speed boat trip around the Camel Estuary passing the beaches
of Daymer Bay and Polzeath. The boats, appropriately named Thunder, Fireball, Jaws and Sea Fury, run daily from the harbour, weather and sea conditions permitting,
